Marty Schlosser – The Industry’s Go-To Expert

Who is MARTY SCHLOSSER?
For nearly 50 years, Marty Schlosser has been a furniture designer and maker. Although he developed his passion for woodworking at a young age, his interest in spraying stemmed from his desire to finish furniture he created for his family and friends. In the early 90s, Marty’s wife bought him a hardware store quality spray gun to experiment with, and the rest is history! Through dedication, he taught himself the ins and outs of spraying and is now a go-to expert who is often sourced by professionals in the industry to share his knowledge. Marty’s goal is to “generate enthusiasm” and provide beginners and novices alike the practical skills to complete projects they can be proud of.

What’s MARTY SCHLOSSER’s Connection to Fuji Spray®?

Marty’s relationship with Fuji Spray began 23 years ago with the purchase of his first Fuji Spray system. “I started with the Q4 Pro and was blown away,” he said. “Not only by the power of the system but also by the level of service I received. They replaced a turbine that was years beyond its warranty and even paid for the shipping. From that point on, I was hooked on Fuji Spray’s products.”

He loves the MPX-30, offering rave reviews for its “exceptional atomization and control.” Marty has been honored to impart his knowledge to other Fuji Spray® users through a partnership with the company that began back in 2016 when he started writing blogs. “From there, I continued to work with Fuji Spray to expand my reach by creating an introductory curriculum for people who are just getting into spray finishing,” he said. “That’s one of the things that I love most about working with Fuji Spray; they value education above making sales, which is a rare and wonderful quality.

What’s next for MARTY SCHLOSSER?

This month, Marty partnered with Fuji Spray® to run a very successful advanced spray finishing workshop that touched on ways novices can improve their skills in dyeing, shading, toning, airbrushing, and pressure pots.  Feedback from the workshop was extremely positive and there are plans in the works for more!

“Education is so important,” he said. “It’s a great feeling to share your knowledge with others and to inspire your students with new skills that they can apply immediately to their own work. Every woodworker leaves with a better understanding of their craft than when they first came in.
